| Do I really need to use a surge protector? | ||
|
Protecting your copiers, printers
and other systems is a critical step in longevity and reliability. You can't protect your equipment by just turning it off.
Unplugging it will protect it, but it'll also get on your nerves after
the third or fourth day of unplugging every office machine at night and
pluuging them all back in the next morning.
WIth surge protectors, you can guard your equipment from the not so common lightning strike or from the much more common surge, spike, sag or brownout through the power lines or telephone lines by installing a surge protector that really protects. Stenger systems under maintenance are required to be connected to surge protectors. A surge is a burst of more energy than you need that causes a sudden change in voltage. Examples of this are refrigerators, dishwashers or air conditioners going on and off, or a power station coming on or going off line. Other situations which cause these fluctuations can be storms, accidents involving power poles, falling trees, and loose connections. |
| I spilled toner! How should I clean it up? | ||
|
If you spill toner on your clothes
or carpet, try the
following steps:
First, remove any excess toner with a vacuum (as long as the spill is no bigger than a half dollar). Do not wipe off, as it will set the toner. After you have vacuumed the toner, take your clothes to the dry cleaners. If the spilled toner on your carpet does not vacuum completely, call you local carpet cleaner to find out what they recommend to get the remaining toner out of your carpet. If the spill is bigger than a half dollar, you may need special services from your carpet cleaner. |
| Recycle my cartridges? Why? | ||
|
The recycling of both laser and
inkjet cartridges is good for the environment and also saves money for
both you and us. Most of the cartridges we send out have recycling
labels placed on the outside of each toner cartridge box. We
recommend that you save the cartridge boxes for easier storage and
transit.
When you place an order, let us know that you have empties to be picked up -- our delivery personnel will take your empty cartridges and give you "Stenger Bucks" -- a discount that may be applied to your next cartridge purchase!. If Stenger does not come to your place of business on a regular basis or exclusively ships your supplies via UPS, call our Imaging Supply Dept. and we'll make arrangements to have your empties picked up and recycled. |
| Can I trust remanufactured cartridges? What about my warranty? | ||
|
Our recharged toner cartridges equal
-- and sometimes exceed -- the performance of OEM cartridges. We rely on
a nationwide network of proven recharger specialists, ensuring that you
will receive the best quality supplies at the lowest possible prices.
Recharging not only saves money, it also makes environmental sense --
every month, cartridge recharging keeps over 20 million cartridges from
ending up in the landfill!
Here's an interesting tidbit -- did you know that many genuine HP cartridges contain recycled or reused parts? Another VERY interesting tidbit -- be aware that the use of recharged cartridges will not void your warranty/contract on you current office equipment! If your printer's manufacturer tells you that it will void the contract, mention to them that they are in violation of the Anti-Trust Laws pertaining to the use of third party parts or services. Still not sure? Here's the clincher. Stenger Business Systems backs each and every cartridge we sell -- INCLUDING RECHARGED CARTRIDGES -- with our 100% Satisfaction Guarantee. If you are not 100% satisfied with the performance of your cartridge from Stenger Business Systems, we will replace it or refund your money. No questions asked. Guaranteed. |
| Someone just asked for my machine info. Was that a 'Toner Pirate?' | ||
|
Buyer's beware, this is another scam
that has been developed by crooks to make a quick buck. They will call
your receptionist or the person that is in charge of ordering supplies
and will say something to this effect, Hi there, this is Larry from
Stenger's Copier Emporium! Bad news ... the toner for your copier is about
to go waaaaaay up in price. But, if you order a bunch of 'em now, I can give you
your usual price one last time!
What Larry doesn't tell you is that (A) he's not from Stenger Business Systems, and (B) the toner he just sold you is most likely going to cost FOUR TIMES as much as you would normally pay. Tips to
try when you suspect a 'Toner Pirate': What to
do if you suspect you've ordered from a Toner Pirate: |
